Current
Turn Around Times
|
|
25 December 2011: Due to our current backlog, any order placed at this
time will likely not be filled until or after August 2012. At that time I will be retired from the US military and be
working on rifle stocks full time. Please fill out the Non-Binding Order Form to get in line as the line is not getting
shorter. I don't ask for any money until I'm actually working on your stock and you can easily cancel any time before
you send in the payment.
5 Sep 2011: We are finishing a run of Laminate
stocks and will be concentrating on older orders placed for Walnut, Myrtle and Maple. Those stocks are more time consuming
to make for the P models.
We
are currently finishing orders placed in Feb/Mar 2011. We estimate turn-around time at 6 months, but it could be longer
or shorter depending on what you order and what we have already made.

The
Story on LAW483 Enterprises Custom-Fit, Feild-Match M14 Stocks, Range-Match M14 Stocks, and Range-Match M1 Stocks.
|
|
Since our beginning we have been a leader in innovative rifle stock
ergonomics and styles for the M14 Type Rifle. Through the years the terms "Drop-In", Mechanical Bedding, and
"No bedding Required" are often used to describe that magical stock that a customer can take out of a box,
easily slap on their rifle and instantly cut thier "Group Size" in half, reduce the weight of their rifle, add their
desired accessories, and improve their ergonomics.
While many of the new modern stocks do offer one or two of the desired results, the truth
is that many of the "Drop-In" stocks don't fit as well as a bedded National Match Modified stock; in fact, the truly
"Drop-In" stocks are not as accurate as the bolt-together stocks or the bedded stock. Most of the Accuracy
based stocks are heavier than they first appear, and most require tools to feild strip. Not to mention, that most of
the Modern M14 Rifle Stocks are mechanical looking and depart from the traddition look of a rifle. This is where
we come in...
Our primary focus is the development of ergonomic and inovative
M14 rifle stocks and accessories with some expansion into the M1 Garand market. We design and make each of our patterns
to our specifications. We shape the forends and the grips by hand and true the flat surfaces and radii on our mill.
We duplicate these stocks in-house on our Terrco Northstar Duplicarver. While we have made replicas of established
military designs in the past, we now simply use them as inspiration. Our stocks are unique to us as we enhance it's
features and bring our sporting stocks beyond what was practical for military weapons.
We recognize that our customers want Match Performance and fit in
a beautiful stock that they can field strip. They don't want to bed a rifle because its messy to do themselves, and
they are aware that feild stripping a bedded rifle will most often degrade accuracy over time by wearing out the bedding around
the "Legs" of the receiver. Consequently, many Match Rifle owners only feild strip their rifle once a year!
We polled our customers several years ago and found they wanted a Match Fit, but they wanted a Steel Stock Liner like in a
GI wood stock because they could field strip it. This has lead us to develop our LAW483 Custom-Fit "Field-Match"
(TM) M14 Type Rifle Stocks with our "Unitized Stock-Liner"(TM)
We perfected our "Unitized Stock-Liner" as we started
duplicating our stocks in-house. While making our stocks we incorporated the National Match (NM) modifications into
our process. While at first these were options, after making the stock fit so well with the NM modifications, we could
not bear to make them without these accuracy enhancing modifications. However, the more precise we made our stocks, the
more we found that we needed to install these stocks ourselves so that they would fit your rifle just as well as we made
them fit ours.
All of our stocks are Custom Fit to your Rifle. After
we complete your stock and fit it to our rifle, you'll send in your rifle to our FFL. Our M14 Field-Match stocks
are "Match Fit" with our "Unitized Stock-Liner" so perfectly to your rifle so when you receive it
you can take it out of the box and shoot it; yet, you can feild strip your rifle as needed because you have the durability
of a steel stock-liner. Our M14 and M1 Range-Match stocks are fit and finished in the same manner, except Range-Match
stocks have tradditional bedding with no metal stockliner, and excessive field stipping is not recommended. Our price
of $475 includes the FFL processing, Hand Fitting, and Return Shipping. Please add $25 for insurance for
the return trip. After the stock is completed, turn around for your rifle will be as follows: If it's into our
shop by Friday, it will be shipped out by following Friday.

Non-Binding Ordering System Explained
|
- Our schedule is not predictable so we cannot promise delivery dates; therefore
we have a non-binding ordering system.
- We have a long waiting list so it's best to get on the list early as
we have at least a six month wait at this time.
- Please visit each stock page. If you would like to get
on the order list fill out the form completely and send it. You can print out a copy for yourself as well.
- We
ask many questions so that we will understand what type of rifle that you intend to build. For instance, if your asking
for a feature that may not be cost effective for your purpose, sometimes we can save you a few dollars with a more economical
solution.
- It's important to leave contact information because we do not make something for a person without
speaking with them first.
- As we find out which stocks our clients want and what type of wood they want we then
order our materials and plan our work. It could take weeks but often takes months. Our clients like our attention
to detail. It's easier to get over a later delivery than preferred versus having a stock that's not what you wanted.
- If you decide to cancel please let us know; generally it's no issue until we've accepted your payment. Once
we are close to finishing the stock with your particular specifications then we will contact you for payment and to have your
rifle shipped to our FFL.
- Optional rails and hardware are not available separately.
- While we do try to fill
orders in turn, additional options may delay delivery.
