LOSOK Valkyr / M14-06 Stock Offerings

We were first approached by a customer who wanted one of our laminated E2 style stocks for a LOSOK Valkyr build.  Not long thereafter LOSOK gave us a call as well.  After rerviewing this rifle we believe it will have a great following, and we like the design as well.  We do plan to offer our full line of stocks for this rifle. Mark Lammers with LOSOK Valkyr in a LAW483 Stock LAW483 V14-06H13 Tactical SMG Forend Enhanced Standard Grip Stock.  The rifle and action were designed by Mark Lammers of LOSOK Custom Arms LLC as the Valkyr and will go into production as the M14-06.  For those unfamiliar with the Valkyr, its receiver is a one-piece, Long-Action M14/M1 Garand design with an integral Picatinny Rail and full magazine well.  This receiver is SOLID!  The Receiver by itself weighs 3.5 pounds and has so much surface area that the designer reports sub-MOA accuracy when bedded with a free-floating barrel.  The production models utilize a M14 Type barrel and gas system chambered in 30.06, 8mm, and other long-action calibers.  This is clearly an accuracy minded semi-automatic rifle. The LAW483 V14 Series LOSOK Valkyr / M14-06 stocks will only be made as Range-Match (RM) stocks and require bedding.  There are two ways to get this rifle and thus two ways to get our stocks.  You can order a Custom-Made Valkyr directly from LOSOK and specify which LAW483 stock you want; then place the order below.  LOSOK will coordinate the order with us and install the stock as part of your build.  Or, you can order a production M14-06 rifle and order the stock from us.  When we are finished with your stock, you'll send in your rifle, and we will install the new stock, bedding and all. Pre-production M14-06 with LAW483 V14-06H13 Stock The LOSOK Valkyr design includes a enclosed magazine well integral to the receiver.  This means that the Valkyr stock have contours unique to that rifle; neither M14 nor M1 Garand stocks will fit.  Also, these rifles are "Optic Only" and have no provision for iron sights so we raise the combs for scope and optic use; we will make our patterns with very high combs to handle the highest optics, but we can always make them lower per the customers needs, desires, and preference.  We plan to initially offer the following designs for the Valkyr as these patterns are the most easily adapted from existing patterns we have already made or started:  (Other designs will follow) V14-06H13:  Enhanced Standard Grip, Tactical SMG Forend. V14-06H7:  Enhanced Standard Grip, Tactical Forend with Enhanced Magwell. V14-06C1:  Classic Style Stock with Lightweight Forend V14-06T5R:  Right Hand Only Thumbhole Stock With Sporter Style Forend V14-06H3:  Enhanced Standard Grip, Heavyweight Forend V14-06P3:  E2 Style Pistol Grip, Heavyweight Forend LAW483 M14H6 Shown, Valkyr stock will be similar. Dual Swivel Studs, Pachmayr SC100 Recoil Pad M14P3 Onyx Shown, Valkyr stock will be similar. 25 December 2011:  Due to our current backlog, any order placed at this time will likely not be filled until or after August 2012.  At that time I will be retired from the US military and be working on rifle stocks full time.  Please fill out the Non-Binding Order Form to get in line as the line is not getting shorter.  I don't ask for any money until I'm actually working on your stock and you can easily cancell any time before you send in the payment. 5 Sep 2011:  We are finishing a run of Laminate stocks and will be concentrating on older orders placed for Walnut, Myrtle and Maple.  Those stocks are more time consuming to make for the P models. We are currently finishing orders placed in Feb/Mar 2011.  We estimate turn-around time at 6 months, but it could be longer or shorter depending on what you order and what we have already made.
